Printing and Framing

I take the printing process very seriously. It might look great on the screen, but if the printing medium isn’t right, or my screen is too bright or dark, then the print itself will not come out well.

When printing at home, I use an Epson 10 ink printer that prints up to A2 sheets in size and has a roll holder for a 17” foll of paper. I have Canson Infinity paper at home but can also use Ilford and Hahnemühle, particularly when outsourcing the printing.

If you have a special image that you would like printed, please reach out as I may be able to assist.

  • Print Only

This includes the photographic image plus a white border (1 inch) around the image. All prints are printed on archival paper with high quality printers and inks. At home, I use Epson printers and inks and Canson Infinity and Ilford paper.

When using external printers, they use Canson, Ilford and Hahnemühle papers.

Large prints are rolled in a tube. Small prints (up to A3 paper) are flat in a rigid mail envelope.

  • Framed Prints

The photographic print with a white border, can include a matboard of a complementary colour, generally white or black, is framed behind UV protective glass, in either a white, black or natural oak timber frame.

Specific framing requirements outside of these options are available on request.

  • Stretched Canvas

The image is printed onto Ilford Galerie Galicia Fine Art canvas which weighs in at a thick 450gsm. A cotton/polyester blend, it has been designed to deliver the best in professional photographic digital prints. It is a robust stretchable canvas with a high resistance to cracking and superior framing performance.

It also incorporates an advanced inkjet receiving layer, which provides excellent image sharpness and optimum colour gradation.

The Float Frame sits 5mm off from the canvas to make for a beautiful finishing touch. Available in Oak, Black or White.
